2. Does Kriete offer short-term and long-term truck rentals?
Yes. Commercial trucks can be rented for as little as one day or for as long as one year, depending on availability and your business needs.
3. Can I rent a truck while my regular truck is being repaired?
Yes. Our service departments frequently work with Kriete Leasing & Rental to help customers secure replacement vehicles while their trucks are being repaired.
4. Can I rent a refrigerated truck from Kriete?
Kriete does not currently offer refrigerated or reefer truck rentals.
5. Does Kriete offer rent-to-own commercial trucks?
Kriete does not offer traditional rent-to-own rentals. However, lease-to-own options may be available. Contact our team to discuss the right solution for your business.
6. How far in advance should I reserve a rental truck?
Contact us as early as possible if you need a specific type of vehicle. We can also accommodate emergency and last-minute rentals when equipment is available. New customers must complete a credit application, which can often be processed within 24 hours.
7. How much does it cost to rent a commercial truck in Wisconsin?
Rates depend on the vehicle, rental period, mileage and availability. Typical weekly pricing includes:

8. What are the requirements for renting a commercial truck?
Kriete rents commercial vehicles to businesses rather than individuals. Requirements include:
- A completed credit application for new customers
- A valid certificate of insurance
- A valid driver’s license at pickup
- Verification that the driver is an employee of the renting business
- A Class A or Class B CDL when required for the vehicle
Drivers must be at least 21 years old. A CDL may not be required for straight trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating below 26,000 pounds.
9. Where can Kriete rental trucks travel?
Kriete rental trucks are IRP-apportioned and can travel throughout the lower 48 states. They may not be taken across the Canadian border.
10. Are one-way commercial truck rentals available?
Kriete does not offer traditional one-way rentals. However, a vehicle may be picked up at one Kriete location and returned to another Kriete location with advance approval.
11. What happens if a rental truck breaks down?
Contact Kriete’s breakdown assistance line, available 365 days a year. We will help direct the truck to the nearest qualified dealership and coordinate service through the Mack and Volvo dealer network when applicable.
Roadside assistance, routine maintenance, normal wear and tear, and qualifying mechanical repairs are included. Damage caused by driver neglect, misuse or an accident may be the renter’s responsibility.
12. Can I use a rental tractor to tow my company’s trailer?
Yes. Kriete’s Class 8 rental tractors are registered for a gross combined weight of up to 80,000 pounds. Your trailer and load must meet all applicable safety, registration and weight requirements.
13. Are after-hours pickup and return options available?
Rental vehicles can generally be returned after hours by placing the keys in the location’s designated drop box. Pickup is typically completed during dealership hours, although special arrangements may be coordinated in advance. Confirm the procedures with your rental representative.
14. Can I reserve a commercial rental truck online?
Online reservations are not currently available. Contact Kriete Leasing & Rental to discuss your needs and confirm availability.
15. Where can I rent a commercial truck from Kriete?
Commercial rentals are available through Kriete’s 11 Wisconsin locations, subject to vehicle availability. Contact your nearest location for assistance.
16. What features are included in Kriete’s rental trucks?
Kriete’s sleeper tractors come standard with refrigerators, bunk heaters and power inverters. Our medium-duty rental trucks include E-track cargo-control systems and backup cameras.
