CRB Corp – VHD Quad Axle Chassis

CRB Corp is a local hauler specializing in asphalt paving. They recently purchased a new Volvo VHD quad axle chassis. This cool looking setup is called a “Shuttle Buggy”.  It’s used between the dump truck and the paver, producing a better “ride spec”.  This system produces a new surface that’s more uniform and smooth, compared to the traditional truck-to-paver application. 
Many reasons contributed to CRB Corp adding another Volvo VHD to their fleet.  These are a few of them:

• Volvo engine reliability
• Volvo cab comfort and visibility
• T-Ride suspension provides the best of both worlds.  Excellent performance, on and off road, with very low maintenance
• I-Shift Transmission provides great fuel economy, especially since the arrival of the new 13sp w/crawler gears, specifically designed for paving. CRB Corp is running 3.21 gears in a quad axle dump truck.  Historically unheard of, a 13 speed I-Shift with 3.21 gears, delivers excellent power on the low end along with great fuel economy and low RPM’s on the highway.
