Isaiah's day as a Trucker: With Special Spaces and Kriete Truck Center - Sheboygan
Recently some of our team had an opportunity to work with Special Spaces – Milwaukee to make a dream come true. Isaiah is a sweet 17 year old boy who loves Trucks and we are so happy we could help him be a trucker for a day.
His day started with a morning pick up in a decked out Volvo VNL 760 sleeper. From there, he rode down the highway to Kriete Truck Center – Sheboygan, where he took a tour with General Manager Bob Spatz. Then Isaiah spent some time walking around, climbing on, and sitting in some different Mack and Volvo trucks on the lot with David Van Akkeen, Pre Owned Territory Manager. After some time learning about engines, truck service, and the truck business, Isaiah sat down for lunch and got a look at some new Mack and Volvo merchandise to help him look the part. To top it off, he received his first CB radio to take home and hook up in his room.
After lunch, the real dream came to life, as Isaiah got behind the wheel of a Volvo VNL and took a few laps around the building. Jeff Martell, Volvo New Truck Sales Director-Kriete Truck Centers, said he started off slow but gained a lot of confidence by his seventh lap.
But there was one final surprise waiting for him at home. While Isaiah was out learning to be a real trucker, a team from where overhauling his room with a new trucker aesthetic, this included truck posters, a new bed, and a new storage bench.
