2019 Wisconsin Truck Tech Competition

Wisconsin Truck Tech Competition is Wisconsin’s premier skills competition for professional commercial vehicle technicians. The completion starts with a 50 question written test and then competitors move to 13 skill stations that will challenge the technician’s knowledge in a variety of ways. Some truck skills stations had been “bugged” with things like liftgate repair, worn tire analysis, electrical troubleshooting boards, bench testing, and diagnostic on different brake systems.

It was a long day for everyone involved but each technician said the same things. They enjoyed the challenges, talking with their counterparts, and learning new things. They all said they will be back next year!

The Kriete Group was represented by Scott Borntraeger, hired just under a year ago at Kriete Truck Center – Racine. He scored the highest on the Volvo station and ranked in the middle in the overall standings. A very good accomplishment for his first year.
